Analysis of Sports Injury Experience of College Soccer Players for Injury Prevention and Team Development

Abstract
Purpose: This study was aimed to report the rate of injury reoccurrence and basic data in college soccerplayers, questionnaire items were classified into injured numbers, body part or tissue, reoccurrenceexperience, etc. during competition and training.

Methods: Fourth-four college male soccer players who are living as a player during more than 5 years wereparticipated in the study. They were asked about their past injury experience during the whole training lifethrough a self-reported questionnaire.

Results: Among a total of 44 participants, 38 players (86.36%) answered the experience of sports injury and12 players (27.58%) answered the experience of injury reoccurrence. Especially, the most frequent injury typewas answered as an ankle sprain (28.36%) among the sports injury. Lastly, they answered that physical therapy(29.59%) was the most representative management method.

Conclusion: In conclusion, I found that the introduction of a sports injury prevention management systempreferentially to college soccer players is urgent to achieve the goal of a player as well as to develop athleticperformance of a team.
